Air Conditioning CoreSense PC Interface Software

Emerson Commercial & Residential Solutions PC Interface software tool is for Copeland Scroll with CoreSense Communications.In addition to the multi-color LEDs on each CoreSense module, this PC interface software provides fast access to the past and present status of compressors. Running status as well as the alarm history (most recent 10 alarms, 8-day alarm history and total number of alarms since the compressor first started) is available. The configuration of the compressor parameters is possible with a service laptop. Furthermore, auto and manual data logging as well as operating instructions are available with the software. Additional information like compressor module and serial number can be entered, too.

The PC Interface Kit is available at your local wholesaler, kit number 929-0011-00. The kit includes a RS485 connector and a USB to RS485 Serial Cable. The User's Manual can be download here.

Fault Finder PC

The HVACR Fault Finder © (PC Edition) software kit is a new accessory item for personal computers that unlocks advanced history and diagnostic capability when used in conjunction with existing Comfort Alert© or CoreSense© Diagnostics modules. Designed to help contractors troubleshoot residential or commercial air conditioning systems, the Fault Finder software extracts valuable fault history information directly from the installed modules to help guide the contractor to the root cause of system issues.

Product Selection Software

Emerson Climate Technologies Product Selection Software (PSS) replaced the Copeland® Compressor Performance Calculator and Energy Calculator tools which became obsolete on April 5, 2012 and no longer available for downloads. PSS is an integrated PC based software tool that allows users to select and generate compressor performance. Additionally, system designers can simulate a refrigeration rack of up to 10 compressors, perform seasonal analysis and determine its annual operating cost. Users can generate non-standard conditions compressor performance, download rating coefficients, view reference drawings, wiring diagrams, bill-of-materials and perform simplified system analysis. Other supporting functions available in the tool are:

  • View / search Application Engineering Bulletins
  • Thermodynamic & Transport properties of refrigerants
  • English and Metric engineering units
  • English and Spanish capability
  • Generate refrigeration loads of walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Capability to perform AEER Analysis using user selected compressors

Refrigeration CoreSense PC Interface Software

Emerson Climate Technologies PC Interface software tool is for CoreSense Protection on Copeland Discus compressors, CoreSense Diagnostics for Refrigeration K5 Scroll compressors and Copeland PerformanceAlert for the US. This Interface Software is also compatible with CoreSense Diagnostics for Copeland Stream compressors in Europe. In addition to the multi-color LEDs on each CoreSense module, this PC interface software provides fast access to the past and present status of compressors. System Requirements: A Pentium® IV, 500 MHz processor based computer with a minimum of 1 GB RAM (256 MB RAM recommended), 1X CD-ROM or faster, USB Port 2.0 and 250 MB free disk space is required. Any one of the Windows XP (SP2), Vista or Windows 7 operating systems will be satisfactory to install and run the application.
